A small terraced village on a hill of the Monts de Vaucluse, Joucas looks out towards an agricultural plain. Magnificent views over the ochre cliffs that surround it. Joucas is home to an old oil mill, partly cut into the hillside, complete with an original millstone, mechanism, press, chimney and vats.
What to see and visit: the parochial church of Saint-Jean-Baptiste (late eighteenth century); the castle's ancient chapel; a beautiful tower of the ancient windmill; an olive oil press with ancient utensils; the cobblestone streets of the higher part of the village…
