Lauris

4,5 km from Lourmarin Altitude : 141 m Number of inhabitants : 3143 A perched village located between the Luberon and the Durance, set amongst vineyards and olive groves. Not to be missed: the ancient village, the 17th and 18th century fountains, the church (rebuilt in 1702 over the foundations of the original church, erected in the 15th century), the wrought-iron bell tower dating back to 1857, the castle (rebuilt in the 18th century over the ruins of an ancient medieval fortress).
